Steve Norris is the founder of SNAP Building and a seasoned project manager with nearly two decades of experience in the development and construction industry. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Steve combines his scientific background with a passion for high performance building as a consultant and contractor with SNAP, executing Net Zero retrofits and new builds while staying attuned to emerging opportunities and advancements in the field.

Steve is also the Development Manager at Plaid Shirt Building, engaging and supporting clients during the planning stages of development - engaging architects and engineers, optimizing design, and providing early costing to support decision-making. Plaid Shirt is currently working on a range of projects, focused on the missing middle.  

SNAP and Plaid Shirt are currently collaborating on a Net Zero multifamily purpose built rental pilot/research project meant to accelerate the adoption of low carbon solutions in building.  In addition to his professional contributions, Steve offers mentorship and openly shares expertise in aligning industry trends with practical, hands-on solutions.
